It's now easy to
donate some or all of the proceeds from your eBay sale to us. We
have recently joined Missionfish, this allows you to list your items
with eBay for Charity - this is an easy way to sell verified charity
items on eBay on our behalf. Whether you're a new or experienced
seller using eBay for Charity will really help and has the following
benefits::
Your listings will stand out
This ribbon
appears in the title bar of your item and in search results, allowing
buyers to easily identify your listing as an authentic eBay for
Charity item. Your eBay for Charity listing will also include information
about the charity you are supporting and what percentage you've
chosen to donate.
In addition, buyers can find your item in three areas: the category
you selected, on the eBay for Charity hub and on the charity's MissionFish
homepage!
You control what you give and your gift goes further
You can give between 10% and 100% of the final sale price from anything
you sell (a £2 minimum donation applies). If your item sells, eBay
will match the generosity of its community and donate the same percentage
of the final value fee as the seller donates of the final selling
price.
It's easy to use
Any seller can donate to charity while listing an item on eBay.
The option to donate is displayed in the
Pricing & Duration section
of the Sell Your Item form and is also available through
Turbo Lister 2.0. You can sell in almost any category of items
- from Automotive to Toys & Games - and donate a portion through
eBay for Charity.
You pick the cause
Obviously we would like you to support Vale Wildlife Rescue but
you will see that there are many organisations in the MissionFish
charity directory.
Your gift can be tax-efficient
Gift Aid is one of the easiest ways to make your donation tax effective.
Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, the charity
will receive an extra 28 pence from HM Revenue & Customs (formerly
Inland Revenue). Just imagine the difference this makes to us and
it doesn't cost you a thing! MissionFish will reclaim Gift Aid on
your behalf and forward it on to us. For example by making a Gift
Aid declaration, a £10 gift turns into £12.80 just by ticking a
box!
